We had to learn 2 type of dance the first one is yi and the second one is dai. An Ning Middle High School borow for us traditional costumes for us to wear and dance. The costumes were beautiful. We also get to interact with pre-U student. They gave us a heart-warming welcome and they also present us with ballons.

The long bus ride to the school many thoughts ran through our mind how would the parents treat us when we are there at their house,what sorts of activity was planned for us.After we reached the school we walked into our groups mainly in twos or threes and waited to be leaded to their vehicles to bring us to their homes.


For me,we did not go straight to their homes we went to the steel factory first as that's one of Kunming's major form of resource and that is what their factory are mostly doing.We walked around the factory to see how they burnt the steel into liquid and the hot larva at 1470 degree Celsius which it's very hot.Shortly after we went to their house and we were surprised to see that even their house a condominium has no lifts and we have to climb up however,what shocked us the most is that when we are in the house we don't have to take off our shoes and just walk in.

As times past,its also time for us to have our lunch,the family drove us to one of their famous restaurants to have lunch,the lunch was sumptuous and we ate quite a bit.After lunch,they took a long drive to one of their mountains.The bridge that we had to walk on to go into the mountain was super scary as the bridge was made of branches of the tree as they were not stuck closely due to each and every unique shape we had to walk slow and steady.

This mountain is very intresting,there are many adventures you can try as there are many fun activities you can do one of them is standing on the swing and when you are being pushed the swing swings you across the small river which is something you cannot find in Singapore.After about an hour of walking we finally reached the summit of the mountain what interest us the most is actually there are people performing shows for you to watch there and on the mountain there are chalets made of wood for you to stay in.

Finally,we found some tables and chairs for us to take a rest and there we started to play some of the games.After playing for about an hour or so,its time for us to report back to the school.We talked and talked.This home visit is really a very memorable one.

After a hearty breakfast, we set off to the Jiuxiang Scenic Region. The bus ride from Kunming to the scenic region was very long. When we reached there we walked towards the boarding of the boat, the boat ride lasted for approximately 10 min. During the ride we passed through the exterior of the caves that we would be visiting later.

Shortly after the boat ride ended, we walked through caves. What surprised us the most is that actually the rivers connects to the caves. The caves are really very huge and some part of the caves have beautifully lighted lighten that give you a clearer view of the caves.




Finally, after using much of our energy walking through a few caves, we finally came to the exit. As the caves is very big it's too tiring for us to walk back we have two choices. One, is to take the horse ride and the other is to take a cable car back.











After lunch, we took another long bus ride we went to another scenic region, the stone forest which is one of Kunming most popular attraction. The stones there are very unique and most of their structure are very strong even though there were earthquarkes the stone only broke however they are still standing strong and upright there. Most of the stones there also have very interesting characters.

On the 4 day of this Kunming trip we went to the Yunnan Nationalities village and the tea company . And have dinner at KFC.
At the Yunnan Nationlities village we visited lots of traditional people and objects like their musical instruments. It was very interesting as we see over 25 different cultures from this place.
At the tea company,many workers were demonstrating their products and when it is over many of our students went to buy lots of tea products as if they were all tea fans.
At China's Kentucky Fried Chicken we ate some standard meal and went back to our hotel and lights off. We went to sleep .Good night

We did chinese painting first followed by lesson observation. We were grouped and went to different places. We also had basketball games. Although we did not win the match,we had fun. The martial arts we had on the second day was harder. We also had hot spring spa, but some of us did not attend.

The second day of the trip was filled with activities. We reached Anning Middle
School early but luckily the people there were prepared . We got a welcoming ceremony and we met our new buddies . My buddy is called Zi Chun . After that , we get to meet our buddies again . I saw my buddy and she introduced her friends to me . Her name is Ivy . We chatted a lot and we also played games like eagle catching chicks , and catch me before i sit and badminton . After that, we went to cut pictures and words out of a normal paper. This was followed by a Taiji session which was rather boring but peaceful. We then went for dinner and did some shopping after that. I was hoping to see some interesting shops but there weren't any. The only things I bought were chewing gums and batteries from a nearby supermarket. By the time we returned back to the hotel, we were all very tired but pleased with the day's activities.

The first day we went to board a silkair plane,MI916 there were some turbulence in the flight which made us unable to go toilet when we needed it. The service was excellent however the food was not up to expectation. I happened to try the noodles, however it was horrid, i almost vomited all of them. When we reached the China airport, the temperature was slightly cooler than Singapore's weather. We took the bus to West Hill where it is filled with beautiful and attractive scenery. I took picture's everytime we stopped. I almost fell when i went down the stairs.Afterthat,we went to the restraunt called Aladdin.The food was nice,after dinner many of our friends bought something called 'HU'.When all the people were present in the bus we set of to our hotel,NEW ERA HOTEL
